I know. It's been a while since I blogged. I've been a bit under the weather and can't think straight enough to string words into coherent sentences. I have barely even been reading. If you know me, you know I go through several books a month. Not this month.
I have a Dr. appointment Monday. I've been feeling so bad that I am actually looking forward to going, if he can give me something to make me feel better. I do dread paying for that medicine though! Last time I went for this, the medicine was $124 a month. Yes, I have insurance, but you have to pay it up front and have to wait to get it back from the insurance company. That really is a pain!
What's been up lately? Not much at all. When I make it through the day, I go home and crash on the couch. I haven't even watched a movie in quite a while.
Brightest news on the horizon... NO MORE BULLETINS!!! Whoo hoo! No I didn't quit my job. But a volunteer has offered to come in and do them. I am quite thrilled. I absolutely dispise the bulletin. I am so glad to have that off me. Now I can put attention toward other things, such as keeping the computers running right and maybe learn some new things.
Paul has been sick with a sore throat and sinus problems this week. I hate it he was sick on his spring break. I hate it we both are. I wanted to take one day off and us go do something. I think I will save that day for when we are feeling better.
Brandi is something else. Her hair is getting longer. It's so pretty. She's learned to drive her little jeep around too. Last year she'd just sit in it and press the gas pedal and run it into something. This year she's like a little race car driver flying around the apartment complex.
It's so warm now! It's hard to believe only a few days ago there was a freeze warning out. Now I am ready for shorts and air conditioning.

Sumatanga went well last week. It was a quick ride up there. The rooms weren't ready when we arrived so we all hiked up the mountain. When we got back, we were all ready for a drink and to get off our feet.
Brandi got called a "doo-doo head" this weekend. Heather called her that! LOL -- I'm just glad she's finally found some little girls to play with. They are of course, daughters of a former Miss Alabama. I've never really seen her (Miss Alabama) though.
I saw something really interesting on the way to work this morning. You know how women put their makeup on, on the way to work? I have never done that myself, but have seen it. In the past, I even had some friends tell me they did that. Anyway, almost daily I see a woman putting on makeup on the way to work. But this morning, I saw a MAN SHAVING on the way to work! Now that was a change.
Someone complained about ampersands in the bulletin this past week. I had to go in and change all the "&'s" to "and." I mean really y'all! Get a LIFE!!!

Calm, peaceful, nice Thursday. It is so far. As long as an avelanche doesn't fall on me before 5 PM this afternoon.
I just got back from the Galleria Mall. I went to get some "hiking" shoes. They are actually some Nikes that Sears had on sale. I haven't bought a pair of sneakers in, hey what's it been now? 5 years or more? I usually get the little white tennis shoes you get at Wal-mart for about $5. But these I have right now are so slick on the bottom, they would be good for sliding down, but not hiking up, a mountain. All my others are either dressy or not right. I need some for this summer as well. I plan to do a lot of hiking then at Oak Mountain and Cheaha.
Monday I will be going to Sumatanga. Just read Tiff's comment that she will be leaving for Texas next week so I won't chat with her for two weeks after that! I'M GONNA MISS YOU!!!
As well as buying new shoes, I ate at the food court (chinese that wasn't very good) and walked a while until I came upon the bookstore. Now how can I resist going in the bookstore! I, of course, will need a book to read on the way to Sumatanga Monday and on the way back Tuesday. I wound up not buying anything. I was tempted to get "Murder on a Bad Hair Day." Sounded interesting. But decided not.
I am almost finished with my EOM reports for February. After that, I REALLY don't have much else to do. Shhhhhh! don't tell anyone. I guess I will surf the net and hope there's someone on to talk to... Tiff, Gail, anyone there??????????????

As it turns out, we did spend the weekend "vegetating." Don't worry, summer's coming. If this weather is any indication, it will be very soon. I went out at lunchtime today and I believe it is 75 degrees out there. It feels like late spring. I spent my lunch hour going to the bank, went to Milos and ate, and then went and washed "my" car (Jim's car if he doesn't sell it to me) and still got back with ten minutes to spare on my lunch hour. I had to go wash the car. It was looking really nasty. The road I take to work every morning has so much mud all over it that it is almost like riding on a dirt road. Then I have to go across the train tracks at Alabaster. I found out why they named the town Alabaster. There is this white stuff all over the road (Lime). And when I go past the rail road tracks there at the lime plant that white lime gets all over my car. Besides all that, the weather has been so drizzley. Not rainy, but drizzley. Just little bits of water splatters all over the front of my car and quickly dries and leave this chalky coating all over the front of the car. Keep in mind, this is NOT MY CAR I am driving. So, I am so embarrassed to get to work and Jim see this hiddeous MESS all over HIS car and I'm wondering if he thinks I'm just trashing his car! Fortunately, I got out of my car yesterday morning and noticed his vehicle wasn't all that clean looking either, but still... you know how it is!
Thankfully I'm not feeling very sick anymore. I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was taking my medicine first thing in the morning with very little food. Now I am switching and taking my medicine later in the day. I think that will help a lot.
We have staff retreat Monday and Tuesday. I will be gone to Camp Sumatanga. Gotta find some hiking shoes...
